Six areas of cover, each treated as its own decision. Mix them only when the household story asks for it.

Family together at home, the people a life policy is meant to support

Life insurance

Income That Continues If You Cannot

Life cover is a promise to the people who rely on what you earn or the care you give. CebaPay starts with that dependence, not with a round sum that looks impressive on a page. We ask how many years of income would need replacing, which debts should end, and who would manage day-to-day costs.

Term cover is often enough for the years children are at home or a loan is still running. Whole-of-life structures can matter when you want a benefit that does not expire, and they cost more for that reason. We put both shapes on one sheet, with the premium pattern and the events that do not pay.

Beneficiaries, trustees, and the difference between a payout and a slow estate process are part of the same meeting. A policy that names the wrong person is not a small clerical slip. We check it whenever the household changes.

  • ✓Term and longer-term structures compared in writing.
  • ✓Sum linked to years of support, not a default multiple.
  • ✓Beneficiary notes reviewed after marriage, separation, or a birth.

Health insurance

Hospital, Outpatient, and the Lines Between

Health cover fails people when the headline benefit is large and the everyday limit is tiny. We separate inpatient treatment, day procedures, outpatient visits, medicines, and maternity or dental add-ons so each limit has a name.

Waiting periods matter as much as the premium. A plan that excludes a condition you already manage is not a bargain. We ask about current care before we look at price, and we write down what would be declined so you are not discovering it in a ward.

Family arrangements need a clear definition of who counts. A partner, a child away at study, and a parent living with you are not automatically the same member. We read that definition with you.

  • ✓Inpatient and outpatient limits shown apart.
  • ✓Waiting periods and pre-existing treatment called out.
  • ✓Network and non-network differences explained before you travel for care.

The Building, the Contents, and the Liability

A home policy is three conversations wearing one jacket. The building is the structure. Contents are the things you would actually replace. Liability is the injury or damage you might cause to someone else. Bundling them without numbers is how people discover they insured the walls and not the kitchen.

We walk through rebuild cost rather than market price, because those figures diverge. We list high-value items that need naming. We talk about unoccupied periods, renovations, and home work, because each one can change what the wording expects you to tell the insurer.

If you rent, the building may not be yours to insure, and your contents still are. If you own, the loan may demand building cover while your own worry is the furniture. We keep those duties separate so neither is forgotten.

  • ✓Rebuild cost distinguished from sale price.
  • ✓Contents inventory prompts for rooms you actually use.
  • ✓Liability and temporary repairs explained for the first days after damage.

Motor insurance

The Car, the Other Person, and the Repair

Motor cover is easiest to misunderstand because the legal minimum and the cover you want are different products. Third-party protection responds to damage you cause. Own-damage protection responds to your vehicle. Add-ons for glass, hire, and roadside help are optional for a reason: they are not free, and they are not always useful.

We ask who drives, where the car sleeps, and whether it is used for work. Named-driver rules and usage classes are frequent reasons a claim is questioned. Better to argue that point at the desk than at the roadside.

A no-claim idea only helps if you know what breaks it. We explain how a protected discount differs from a fresh start, and when paying for a small repair yourself may be the calmer choice. The decision stays yours.

  • ✓Third-party and own-damage shown as separate choices.
  • ✓Drivers, usage, and overnight location checked against the form.
  • ✓Repair, write-off, and excess explained with examples.

Travel insurance

The Trip You Booked, and the One That Changes

Travel cover is a stack: emergency medical treatment away from home, cancellation or curtailment, delays, baggage, and personal liability. Buying only the medical layer can be right. Doing it by accident is not. We list the stack and let you cross out what you accept as your own risk.

Adventure activities, pre-existing conditions, and the length of the trip change the wording more than the destination photo does. A policy that excludes the hike you already planned is not cover for that holiday. We read activity lists with the itinerary beside them.

Annual multi-trip plans suit people who leave often and stay within the day limit. Single-trip plans suit one long journey. We compare both against your actual calendar, including the days you are only in transit.

  • ✓Medical, cancellation, delay, and baggage priced as choices.
  • ✓Activities and existing conditions checked before you depart.
  • ✓Single-trip and annual shapes matched to how you really travel.

Income protection

A Benefit That Follows the Work You Do

Income protection pays a portion of earnings if illness or injury keeps you from your occupation for longer than a waiting period. The useful questions are the waiting period you can fund from savings, the benefit period that matches your debts, and the definition of occupation. “Any job” and “your own job” are not the same promise.

Self-employed people and contractors need evidence of income that a salaried form does not ask for. We talk about that paperwork early, because a claim is a poor moment to invent a filing system.

This cover sits beside health insurance, not instead of it. One helps with treatment. The other helps with rent and food while treatment takes time. Households that buy one and assume the other are the files we most often reopen.

  • ✓Waiting period set against real savings, not a default.
  • ✓Own-occupation definitions highlighted.
  • ✓Income evidence listed before an application starts.
