Projects

Illustrative guidance stories. They show how a CebaPay file is built. They are not promises that a claim will pay, and they are not portraits of a single real client.

Life · New parents

First Cover Before the Spare Room Was Ready

A couple asked for “a million, because that is what people say.” The file instead counted five years of one income, the remaining loan, and childcare if one parent stopped work. Term cover matched those years. A longer structure was declined on purpose and written down as a later review, not a failure.

Kitchen Smoke, Then a Real Inventory

A small fire was contained. The useful project was the week after: rebuild cost separated from the sale price, contents listed room by room, and a laptop used for work named on the schedule. The next renewal was shorter because the photos already existed.

The Second Driver Who Was Never Named

A household car was insured for one commuter. A partner had started using it three days a week. The project rewrote usage and named both drivers before a claim could test the old form. Excess and repair choices were compared with two workshops, not a slogan about “full cover.”

Three Limits That Used to Be One Number

Parents had bought a plan for its hospital headline. Outpatient visits for a child were hitting a cap they had never seen. The review split inpatient, outpatient, and medicines, then kept a waiting-period note for a condition already under treatment so nobody called it a surprise later.

Travel · One long trip

The Hike That Was Not on the Policy

An itinerary included guided trekking. The first quote excluded that activity. The project swapped to wording that named it, added curtailment because family care at home was fragile, and left baggage as a self-funded risk the travellers accepted in writing.

Independent designer meeting a client

Income · Studio owner

Savings Covered Eight Weeks, Not Eight Months

A designer’s emergency fund looked large until rent and a loan were laid beside it. The waiting period was set to the weeks they could truly fund. The occupation definition stayed tied to their own work. Invoices from the last year were filed with the application so a future claim would not start from a blank folder.

What these projects have in common

Each story starts with a fact the household already knows and a document they have not read closely. The work is not to invent a dramatic loss. It is to make the next decision match the life that is already underway. When you ask CebaPay for a review, expect the same shape: a picture of the household, two or three options, a written reason, and a date to look again.

Outcomes in these sketches are illustrative. An insurer decides a claim against the policy that was issued, the facts of the event, and the disclosures made at the start. Our role is to help you see that path before you need it, and to stay on the file if you do.
